About the Grant Program
The Greater Los Angeles Education Foundation (GLAEF) is proud to launch a new grant opportunity through the Inglewood Youth Education Fund (IYEF). This initiative is designed to support nonprofit organizations, schools, districts/LEAs, and public service providers that are dedicated to uplifting and empowering youth in Inglewood, California.
Grant funds may be used to support staff salaries, program supplies, general operating costs, or any other needs tied to the effective delivery of programs for Inglewood youth between October 1, 2025 to September 30, 2026.
Projects that incorporate student ideated or led solutions, or include students in program management are highly encouraged!
Funding Priorities
Proposals should align with the Fund's five focus areas:

After-School Tutoring: Enhancing Inglewood student tutoring and enrichment.

Youth Innovation and STEM Design Camps: Developing and operating coding, science, technology, and engineering camps.

Keeping Students in School: Enhancing opportunities for Inglewood students to attend and matriculate through educational systems.

Opening Pathways to College: Expanding counseling and supporting students seeking a post-secondary education.

College Scholarships: Supporting Inglewood students with high financial need who are accepted to either a two-year or four-year college.
Eligibility Criteria
Programs must be administered by a nonprofit organization, school (including public charters), district/LEAs, or public agency provider. Independent and parochial K-12 school systems that serve students residing in Inglewood are welcome to apply. Preference will be given to collaborations between nonprofits, schools/districts/LEAs, and/or public sector agencies as partners.
To be considered, organizations must:

Serve youth, ages 0-24, residing in Inglewood. Organizations may serve a segment of this age range (for example, only high school-age students).

Provide high-quality programming, centered around one of the following focus areas:

After-School Tutoring

Youth Innovation and STEM Design Camps

Keeping Students in School

Opening Pathways to College

College Scholarships
-

Serve students from low-income families.

Provide programs or services at no cost to participants. This is limited to funded projects; not prohibiting agencies that offer fee-based programs from applying.
Grant Amounts
Grant amounts are expected to range from $25,000 - $50,000.
Grant funds may be used to support staff salaries, program supplies, general operating costs, or any other needs tied to the effective delivery of programs for Inglewood youth between October 1, 2025 to September 30, 2026.
