Grantmaking
Inglewood Youth Education Fund
The Greater Los Angeles Education Fund (GLAEF) is pleased to be the home of the Inglewood Youth Education Fund (IYEF), a remarkable $12,750,000.00 endowment dedicated to enhancing educational opportunities for youth in Inglewood, California.
This substantial endowment will provide long-term support to nonprofit organizations and initiatives that address the educational needs of Inglewood’s youth. By partnering directly with trusted community organizations, GLAEF aims to create a lasting and positive impact through a diverse range of educational programs.

Programs to be funded by the new endowment include initiatives addressing the following five focus areas:
1. After-School Tutoring: for Inglewood student tutoring and enrichment.
2. Youth Innovation and STEM Design Camps: for developing and operating coding, science, technology, and engineering camps.
3. Keeping Students in School: for discouraging Inglewood high school students from dropping out.
4. Opening Pathways to College: for expanding counseling and supporting students seeking a post-secondary education.
5. College Scholarships: for scholarships for Inglewood students with high financial need in the Inglewood Unified School District who are accepted for either a two-year or four-year college.
As GLAEF prepares to launch IYEF, we are asking organizations with a history of work in Inglewood to complete a short intake form capturing their focus, strategies, and existing programs. This form is part of an ongoing landscape analysis that will inform the strategy and goals for IYEF.
