Los Angeles County Education Wildfire Recovery Fund @GLAEF

Join Yellowjackets and SHOWTIME in supporting the Greater Los Angeles Education Foundation (GLAEF)!
GLAEF and the Los Angeles County Office of Education have established a dedicated fund to direct vital resources to our students, families, and educators that have been most affected by the wildfires in Los Angeles County.
Funds will be used to support strategies including:
Basic Needs Relief
Funds can support access to food, clothes and school supplies, clean water, vital home goods, infant and small child essentials, and practical support like transportation, and emergency relief grants.
Counseling
Supplemental support for school site counselors to help families, students and staff navigate trauma and stress related to the fires.
Legal Support
Resources and guidance for families navigating complicated bureaucratic and legal issues.
Infrastructure Support
Access to air filtration, KN95 masks and campus improvements to ensure ventilation and safe conditions for teaching and learning.
Enrichment Activities
Access to programs, as well as games, books and other activities that can restore normalcy and joy to students – some of whom have lost everything.
Educational Technology
Replacing critical devices for students and teachers that were destroyed in the fires and providing necessary technology to support students that are displaced from their classrooms.

All Fund resources will support regional recovery efforts and those displaced or impacted by the fires. Thank you for your support as we collaborate with regional partners to ensure a robust and efficient rebuilding process.
