GLAEF INITIATIVES
GLAEF’s initiatives are designed to ensure that our students, schools, and communities have the resources they need to thrive.
GLAEF offers fiscal sponsorship services to support projects, initiatives, or programs identified or secured by LA County districts to amplify the disruption of educational inequity.
GLAEF is committed to working with LACOE staff to identify and leverage resources for programs to improve outcomes for youth across the county.
GLAEF manages a collection of various scholarship funds, many developed and led by LACOE staff, tailored to meet diverse needs and provide direct support to students and educators across the 80 school districts in LA County.
GLAEF engages partners to support the design, planning, and implementation of regional events, such as the Los Angeles County Teachers of the Year Awards Banquet and the Superintendents Professional Collaborative.

The Greater Los Angeles Education Foundation (GLAEF) is the premier philanthropic partner of the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) and the school districts served throughout the county.
GLAEF is an independent non-profit organization, intended to operate autonomously from LACOE, but in the service of LACOE and supporting its regional agenda and mission to advance equity and innovation in education across Los Angeles County. GLA enhances LACOE’s impact by engaging a diverse range of partners to navigate countywide and local complexities.
