LACOE Homeless Education Program Charitable Fund

About the Fund
The LACOE Homeless Education Program Charitable Fund supports LACOE’s efforts to provide supplemental programming, services, and critical resources to students experiencing homelessness across Los Angeles County. Designed to bridge funding gaps not covered by existing budgets, the fund ensures that students receive the support necessary to enhance their educational experiences, well-being, and overall development.
The Impact
In Los Angeles County, over 65,000 students and more than 451 local education agencies (LEAs) rely on Homeless Education services—yet existing resources often fall short of meeting their needs. Support from this fund helps bridge critical gaps by building program capacity and directing resources where they are needed most. Every contribution is focused on strengthening LEA services and supporting students, ensuring they have access to the tools, stability, and opportunities essential for their success.
Your Support in Action
Contributions to this fund directly support scholarships, student services, professional development, and mini-grants for local education agencies. Funding helps LACOE build capacity within its Homeless Education Program, ensuring that both students and districts have access to the essential resources needed to address urgent and ongoing needs. Awards from the fund may include food for student-focused events, gift cards for families in crisis, and support for countywide initiatives such as the Homeless Tutoring Program.
